Datong Garden Hotel - Datong (Shanxi)

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel in the heart of the city center. The location couldn't have been better, as I was able to easily explore the nearby attractions such as the city walls, monastery, and Prince's palace. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, with excellent English-speaking skills. They even arranged a tour for me to visit the breathtaking Yungang grottoes and hanging monastery. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The facilities were clean, and the spa and gym were a great way to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of both Chinese and Western dishes, and the WiFi here was the best I had throughout my entire trip in China.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The location is perfect, with easy access to the city's attractions.

great place for discovering datong. it is in the middle of the city. admired temple view from the window. regret that we did n't have time and missed a buffet breakfast. this hotel is equal to 4 stars.

Hotel is deluxe. We loved the European cuisine in the restaurant. They offer climate control, a personal safe and a work desk in the rooms. Lots of meals for breakfast, it was great.

I was amazed by the spacious and well-furnished room at this hotel. The king-size bed was comfortable, and the separate lounge area was a nice touch. I appreciated the convenience of having a humidifier in the room and the small floor light in the hallway for nighttime bathroom visits. The bathroom facilities were excellent, with a heated toilet seat and great toiletries provided. The wifi connection throughout the hotel was reliable, and the breakfast buffet offered a fantastic variety of Oriental and Western food options, including made-to-order omelettes and delicious Chinese breakfast choices. The sleep quality was great, as the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel also had a well-equipped gym and good restaurant options.
